Les vergers Boiron select melons primarily grown in France, in regions such as Petite Camargue, Charente-Maritime, Deux-Sèvres, and Indre-et-Loire. In the event of limited harvests, Charentais yellow melons from Morocco, cultivated to the same strict standards, are used as an alternative. These regions, known for their warm and sunny climate, offer optimal conditions for producing high-quality melons, typically harvested between July and September.
Committed to product quality, Les vergers Boiron favor farms that implement responsible agricultural practices, such as crop rotation to preserve soil health and minimize pesticide use, ensuring melons free from pesticide residues. Grown either in open fields or under tunnels, the melons benefit from drip irrigation systems that maintain soil moisture while reducing water waste.
Certified with High Environmental Value (HVE) level 3 and GLOBAL G.A.P., partner farms comply with stringent standards to deliver premium melons with full traceability, reflecting responsible farming and environmental stewardship.
Light orange in color, the Les vergers Boiron melon puree is relatively liquid and heterogeneous, resembling the generous flesh of the fresh fruit in pulp form.
In order to maintain all the sensory qualities of our product, Les vergers Boiron recommend to defrost the product in its original closed packaging, at 35/+39°F. To unmold or cut your frozen purée easily, we recommend one of the following methods: remove the lid, do not remove the protective seal and leave the tray at room temperature for 5 minutes; or leave the lid and protective seal on, run the tray under lukewarm water for 30 seconds at least before removing the lid and protective seal. Defrosting and storage after defrosting are the user’s responsibility and must be done in accordance with good hygiene and HACCP practices.
