In 1833, the aesthete and entrepreneur Louis Roederer took a visionary approach to enrich his vines, aiming to master every stage of the wine’s creation. He forged the wine’s unique style, character, and taste. In the mid-nineteenth century, Louis Roederer acquired some of Champagne’s grand cru vineyards—an approach that contrasted sharply with contemporary practices.
Louis Roederer Cristal 2012 Vintage Champagne 75cl holds rich and complex aromas of zesty and candied fruit mingled with pollen, roasted hazelnut and Madagascan vanilla.
2012 was a great year for the ripening of both Pinot Noir (60%) and Chardonnay (40%) grapes due to a glorious summer of sunshine and very little rainfall, resulting in wines that are elegant and fresh - characteristics of a classic vintage.
